The FY 2002 Supplemental Appropriations Act (P.L. 107-206) provides that projects designated on pages 82 through 92 of the conference report (H. Rept. 107-308) accompanying the FY 2002 DOT Appropriations Act shall be eligible for FY 2002 funds made available for the program for which each project is so designated. A table of Discretionary Bridge Program (DBP) projects made eligible by passage of P.L. 107-206 is attached. Please note that the table identifies those projects that can be obligated by September 30, 2002 (Y/N).

Allocations and obligation authority for projects in Michigan, New York and South Dakota will be awarded in early FY 2003.

For all other projects, these DBP awards include 100 percent obligation authority. Please advise the Office of Bridge Technology, HIBT-30, as soon as possible, if these funds will not be obligated this fiscal year.

The Federal share may not exceed 80 percent of the cost of the project and should be programmed under Appropriation Code Q06. Federal involvement in the project should follow the current implementing guidance for project review, oversight and administration.
