Note:

This report is required to be published in August of each year. The NBI dataset is archived at the end of each calendar year, therefore, the most recent archive (December of the previous year) is used for the report. Since the previous year archive does not contain information for the new bridges built during that data year, we use the year built one year back (prior).

Rehabilitated bridge information is taken from the Financial Management Information System. Bridge rehabilitation improvement types along with the construction authorization date are used to generate the bridge rehabilitation totals.
