Land & Water Conservation Legacy: Trails

  • 1965-2003
    • Nearly 200 projects with trail components
      • 28.9 million dollars
    • About 2/3 hiking and natural
    • About 2/3 local units of government

Notes:

While projects assisted under LWCF cover the gamut of outdoor recreation, over the years a number of projects have helped create trail opportunities. The majority of which involve hiking or nature oriented trails and most have been located at the local level.
