select and work through a case study on either a residential or a commercial
appraisal situation. Discussion examples show how USPAP applies to situations

- Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice with emphasis
on the most recent changes
- Statements and Advisory Opinions of the Appraisal Standards Board
- Code of Professional Ethics of the Appraisal Institute with emphasis
on recent changes
- Regulation No. 5 of the Appraisal Institute
- Summary of Enforcement Procedures for Regulation No. 6 (peer review)
Target Audience:Members of the Appraisal Institute and others who have
successfully completed Courses 410 and 420.
Attendance Restrictions: Successful completion of Appraisal Institute
Courses 410 and 420 is recommended. Appraisal Institute members must have
successfully completed Courses 410 and 420 before taking this course to

Course Description:The developers, in recognizing that one of the greatest
assets of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) is the diverse,
multidisciplined membership, designed this course to provide a basic course
in the concept of ethics and to acquaint the IRWA member with the new
Rules of Professional Conduct and Disciplinary Rule 18. Successful completion
of this course and/or Course 104, Standards of Practice for the Right-of-Way
Professional, is a requirement for registration and re- certification
as an SR/WA, and the retaking and completion every 5 years is needed for
