Course Title: Trails, Off-Highway, and River Recreation

Course Number: PRLS 637

Sponsoring Organization: U.S. Forest Service

Course Description: This course examines trail sites and design, including system designations and difficulty ratings. Both alpine (downhill) and Nordic (cross-country) skiing is covered. Topics include minimizing impacts and management of off-highway vehicle use, and river corridor management and maintenance. (3 credits)

Target Audience: Administrators, mid-level professionals

Attendance Restrictions: Government experience recommended

Course Length: The length of time to complete the course depends on course content and experience of the learner. Learners have 6 months from receipt of course materials to complete the course. There are extension possibilities for an additional cost.
