TITLE: Memorandum of Agreement between the National Park Service and the Federal Highway Administration for the administration of the Emergency Relief available under 23 USC 125 for Federal roads off the Federal-aid system.

PURPOSE OF THE AGREEMENT: To establish interagency procedures through which the FHWA and NPS will administer emergency relief funding for Federal roads not on the Federal-aid system. This agreement covers emergency relief for the repair of reconstruction of Parkways and Park roads and trails that have been declared to have suffered serious damage as the result of a natural disaster over a wide area or catastrophic failure from any causes. The FLH Divisions have the responsibility to administer the emergency program at the field level. Funds for this program are provided under Title 23 United States Code 125. Amendment No. 1 delegated program determination authority to the FLH Divisions.
