PURPOSE OF THE AGREEMENT: To describe procedures to implement the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). The program agreement provides procedures to ensure safety of bridges on public roads under the jurisdiction of the U. S. Government. It includes the processes and responsibilities of each agency to meet the requirements under 23 USC 151 for NBIS.
