PURPOSE OF THE AGREEMENT: To enhance the collaboration and cooperation of the USDOT and Transport Canada on planning transportation infrastructure, border/corridor projects, mapping freight flows and data collection, development of a common North American ITS architecture and standards, uniform approaches to expedited processing of commercial vehicles through the border, increased the degree and speed of communications and establish regular communications.
