Transportation Border Congestion Relief Program

On May 30, 2008, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) published a notice in the Federal Register soliciting applications for the Transportation Border Congestion Relief (TBCR) Program. This new program is part of the DOT's Congestion Initiative and is designed to facilitate and accelerate transportation-related capacity and operational improvements at international land border crossings through the use of non-traditional project finance, delivery, and operation mechanisms. The DOT envisions a selection of two or more projects that can serve as models for land border travel time improvements. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2008.

For more information about the TBCR Program and the application process, please refer to the May 30, 2008 Federal Register Notice (PDF Version). The deadline for applications is June 30, 2008.
