Statewide responsibility in the field of structures construction for development and review of construction specifications, procedures and practices; development and presentation of construction and quality assurance/control training to all levels of District Construction staff; development and maintenance of a structures construction website; resolution of construction related problems at ongoing projects; arranging for the demonstration and introduction of new and improved construction methods and materials; and development and maintenance of Statewide Inspection Guidelists. Additional duties include development of construction quality assurance/control procedures.

Other Work Experiences

  • FDOT Design and Construction Manager of the Acosta Bridge Replacement project in Jacksonville, Fla. This concrete cast-in-place segmental box girder bridge has the longest main span in the Southeastern US at 630 feet.
  • Oversight responsibility for the construction of the following major segmental bridges in Florida: 17th Street Causeway (Ft. Lauderdale), Palm Beach International Airport Interchange, Royal Park Bridge (Palm Beach), I-95/I-295 Interchange, (Jacksonville), Broadway Bridge (Daytona Beach), Hathaway Bridge (Panama City), Ringling Causeway Bridge (Sarasota), Clearwater Memorial Causeway Bridge.
  • Responsible for the development of training materials related to grouting of post-tensioning tendons and the establishment of training courses for grouting and post-tensioning technicians.
