Office of Corporate Research and TechnologyOffice of Corporate Research and Technology - STAFFFax: 202-493-3475, HRTC-01 The Office of Corporate Research and Technology serves as the main contact or conduit for providing a visible leadership and communications role in facilitating and implementing the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) research and technology (R&T) initiatives. The office supports the FHWA Leadership Team's efforts to ensure a corporate approach to R&T and the implementation of the FHWA Corporate Master Plan for Research and Deployment of Technology & Innovation (Corporate Master Plan, FHWA-RD-03-077)). As efforts to implement the Title V provisions of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users, the office also will support actions to overcome institutional barriers to the development and deployment of new highway technologies. In addition, the office will help FHWA identify and address current and future research needs relating to the transportation system; support dissemination of peer-reviewed scientific information to both the public and stakeholders, and help programs establish meaningful and measurable performance standards. When requested, the office also will facilitate the formation of R&T partnerships among national, State, and local stakeholder networks. Click here for a listing of HRTC Staff. |
