The improvement of Neil Avenue and Nationwide Boulevard added the capacity necessary to handle arena events and established a high-quality urban streetscape. The common theme of the arena district-to create a nonindustrial area with a sense of warmth-was accomplished by applying quality materials such as granite and brick with layers of textures.
