Biennial Awards 2008
FAQ's
I received an email with my password, but what is my login ID? Your login ID is the email address at which you received your password information.
Can I load or enter information from a word processing file to the nomination? The easiest way to prepare the nomination will be to type and edit the information in a word processing file, but that file cannot be directly loaded. You can, however, cut and paste the text into the fields in the nomination form. Please keep in mind that any formatting and graphics will be lost in the database.
What are the requirements for the photos? The photos should be 300 dpi. Each photo is loaded one at a time with a description. The description should include such information as the location, project name, and content of the photo. The description may also include information about the photographer.
What can I do if I am having difficulty loading my photos? Some have had trouble loading photos that are very large. Try reducing the size of the photo. A 4" x 6" image is suitable.
How can I tell if my nomination has been submitted? You will see a list of the nominations that you have submitted when you log in with your username and password. You may review the nomination information that has been saved.
I made an error on my nomination. Can I correct it? When you log in with your user name and password, you will see a list of your nominations. You may select a nomination and make edits until the nomination deadline.
The deadline is looming, I have an urgent question, and I can't reach anyone. What do I do? Brooke Struve will not be available to answer questions after 4 pm (EDT) on Thursday, April 17. On Friday, you may contact Michelle Cribbs (michelle.cribbs@dot.gov) with questions about the on-line nomination process until 3:30 pm (EDT). After that, you will have to do the best you can. If you have had system difficulties that have prevented you from submitting your nomination, send an email to Brooke Struve with a description of the problem and the text of your nomination. Do not send photos.
