Alaska's Experience with Scour Instrumentation in Remote LocationMark Miles, P.E. With the assistance of FHWA's Demonstration Project 97 (DP97) "Scour Monitoring and Instrumentation", Alaska Department of Transportation constructed a scour monitoring station at a remote site to test a number of telemetry and instrument options.
