Overview of Hydraulics Activities

An introduction to FHWA's strategic goals and funding programs related to bridges will be provided. FHWA's Office of Infrastructure organization and functions will be discussed. The FHWA National Hydraulics Team organization and operation will be explained. FHWA's development and training activities will be summarized. Issues will be identified relative to section 508 compliance for software development and web pages. The AASHTO Task Force on Hydrology and Hydraulics improvements to the 1999 Metric Highway Drainage Guidelines and 1999 Metric Model Drainage Manual will be discussed
