The 2001 Midwestern Resource Center Hydraulics Engineers' Conference is scheduled for August 7-10, 2001 at the Pyle Center (www.uwex.edu/pyle/) of the University of Wisconsin Campus in Madison, Wisconsin. The conference will start at 1:00 p.m. on August 7 and end at noon on August 10. On-line registration is available at www.fhwa.dot.gov/bridge/hydreg.htm. In addition, on-site registration will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on August 7.

The conference is intended for those who are involved in either bridge or roadway hydraulics. A draft program is attached for your information and use. Please inform your corresponding State department of transportation (DOT) of this conference. Since a panel session will be held, we would also appreciate receiving items of interest for discussion among State DOTs.

The Transportation Research Board A2A03 subcommittee on hydrology, hydraulics and water quality will meet at the same location from August 6-7 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and from 8:00 a.m. until noon, respectively. Conference attendees are welcome to attend this meeting.

Please distribute this announcement to individuals that may be interested in attending the conference. For those who are planning to attend, please register as soon as possible, make your hotel reservations by July 6, and send suggested topics for discussion by July 16.
