Broward County Long Range Transportation Plan

The Broward County 2025 Long Range Transportation Plan is a commitment to a multi-modal set of improvement projects that will provide the County's residents, businesses and visitors with travel choices. The Long Range Team of the Transportation Planning staff worked from the outset to include the highest level of inter-agency coordination possible and to ensure that the needs of the county residents were identified and addressed through public participation and consensus building within the communities. Some of the planned pedestrian improvements include new sidewalks, overpasses over busy roadways, and improved access to transit facilities, schools, parks, and other activity centers. The bicycle plan ties in closely with the Broward County Greenways plan and will provide safe cross-county bicycle routes on a connected system of bicycle lanes and trails. The Long Range Transportation Plan integrates improved transit services for commuters with bicycle and pedestrian improvements for shorter-distance trips and will contribute towards a sustainable future for Broward County.
