CMAQ Project Tracking System User's Guide

11. Project Search

Any user may conduct a search on CMAQ Project data regardless of status. Two types of searches are available; "Simple Search" and "Advanced Search". While Simple Search allows only a crosstabulation of two project reporting criteria, Advanced Search offers a multi-layered selection matrix for defining your project search criteria.

When the user selects the "Search/Advanced search" option from the CMAQ menu, they will be presented with a search form. The search form allows the user to search based on any and all information they may have regarding that project that is in our system. For example, the user may conduct a search based on the year, CMAQ-ID, the MPOs, etc. Once the user is finished filling in their search criteria, they can click on the "Search" button and view the search results. The user can click the "Details" button of the listed projects in the search results to view that project entry in more detail.

The advanced search has 11 possible selection criteria. They are:

*Note: Click on the "Details" button next to a project to see the project details.
*Note: You can narrow your search by using filtering option of the tables. (Refer to item#3; How to use system tables to sort and filter data.)

When the user selects the "Search/Simple search" option from the CMAQ menu, they will be presented with a search form. The search form allows the user to search based on Project Year only. Once the user selected year or years, they can click on the "Search" button and view the search results in the table. The user can click the "Details" button of the listed projects in the search results to view that project entry in more detail.

*Note: Click on the "Details" button next to a project to see the project details.
*Note: You can narrow your search by using filtering option of the tables. (Refer to item#3; How to use system tables to sort and filter data.)
