Purpose:
This workbook presents the Task 2.4 Sensitivity Matrix developed for Phase 2 of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Gulf Coast project. The matrix documents the sensitivity of transportation modes and sub-modes to four climate variables: waves and storm surge, wind, heavy precipitation, and heat events. The climate variables and associated impacts described are appropriate for the Gulf Coast Region; for a comprehensive matrix of sensitivity by mode and climate variable, additional research would be necessary.
