| Indian Creek Stormwater Treatment Facility This project was constructed as a result of a unique collaboration between the Squaxin Island Tribe, the Nisqually Tribe, the City of Olympia, the Olympia Arts commission and the Washington State Department of Transportation. The primary goal of this facility was to clean stormwater runoff from Interstate 5, but this project also integrated public art into the functional aspects of stormwater treatment, native plant-centered landscaped areas, and slope stabilization along a tranquil walking trail set in the midst of an urban environment. |
