Along with legacy of providing and protecting recreation and conservation values for the American people, the SCORP provides an opportunity for all interested parties, whether trail enthusiasts or citizen groups, to come together and identify gaps and set the priorities to addressing these gaps. No such other vehicle exists that requires such planning of recreation. It is through this that we can continually explore how to add value into our state and communities for us and our future.
I encourage you as Recreation Trail administrators to become actively involved with the State SCORP planner and its process because together our efforts can truly improve the quality of people's lives.
