Apportionments and Obligations, FY 2007

RTP funds are available for the "current" plus 3 fiscal years. In a specific fiscal year, a State may obligate funds apportioned in the current and up to three previous fiscal years. The obligations in a specific fiscal year may range from negative amounts (if a State deobligated more than it obligated in that fiscal year), to significantly more than the apportionments within a specific fiscal year (if a State obligates funds from prior fiscal years).

Please see FHWA Notice N 4510.613: Apportionment of Fiscal Year (FY) 2007 Recreational Trails Program Funds.

Please see FHWA Notice N 4510.646: Supplementary Tables - Apportionments Authorized for Fiscal Year (FY) 2007 for other Federal-aid Highway Program apportionments. Table 17 shows the total amount apportioned to States for the Recreational Trails Program for FY 2007, along with the amounts for State administrative funds (up to 7%), and the amounts that may be used for operating educational programs to promote safety and environmental protection (up to 5%).
