Owen Lindauer is the Federal Highway Administration's Chief Archeologist and is an environmental protection specialist in NEPA program office in Washington, DC. He possesses a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in the field of anthropology with a specialization in archeology. He has thirty years of experience working in the field of anthropological archeology directing fieldwork, conducting research and teaching at the university level, and providing technical expertise. He also has 14 years of experience in environmental compliance in the context of highway development, including the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 4(f) of the US Department of Transportation Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act developing and implementing Programmatic Agreements in Arizona, Texas, Iowa, Nevada, Utah, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.
