Nebraska FLHP
The Federal Lands Highway Program in Nebraska. Central Federal Lands Highway Division (CFLHD) has co-administered the Department of Defense's Operations and Maintenance program in Nebraska. This program provides a means for the Air Force to help pay for operations and maintenance on Transporter-Erector gravel-surfaced routes that access Minuteman Missile Silos. To develop the program, CFLHD coordinated with the Air Force and State and County officials to analyze which routes needed regraveling and to determine what additional items should be added to the scope of work. After Air Force approval of the program, CFLHD provided both preliminary and construction engineering for advertised projects in Nebraska. The preliminary engineering included Plans, Specifications, and Engineers Estimates (PS&E) and advertisement of the project. Since 2000, CFLHD has provided PS"E's and supervised the regraveling of 149 miles of roadway at a total cost of $6 million. Download the Nebraska State FLHP Fact Sheet
