ArrowFM 1938 Concrete Pavement Innovations Showcase

Westlake, TX
May 1, 2012

The Texas Department of Transportation is constructing a 2.6 mile project on new location that consists of six lanes from SH 114 to Dove Road and four lanes from Dove Road to Randol Mill Road. TxDOT is using optimized aggregate gradation for the continuously reinforced concrete pavement.

This showcase will focus on the use of a non–woven geo–textile bond breaker, water based lithium curing compound, innovative surface characteristics, and improved texturing and grooving methods to achieve a longer term durability pavement.

This showcase will include a half–day technical workshop followed by a site visit of the project.

Workshop Details:

This one–day workshop will begin on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 8:00am with check–in and registration opening at 7:30am. We will have a ½ day of technical session on the technologies and the project, followed by a visit to the active construction site. We will then return to the hotel for a Q&A Session and adjourn at 4:00pm.
