Developing a Budget

In order to simulate the impact of constrained budgets, multiple budget sets can be created and accessed through the Programming module.

In this lesson, you will learn how to enter a budget for your simulation.

Enter a Budget
  1. In the Programming module, click Budgets. The Annual Funding Levels screen will appear.
  2. From the Budget Set column, select the Default Budget.
  3. Click Initialize to change the budget matrix. The Initialize Budget Set window will appear.
  4. Enter the following values:
    • For Start year, enter 2003.
    • For Number of years, enter 5.
    • For Annual budget, enter 15,000,000.
  5. Check the Clear Existing Records checkbox, then click OK.
  6. In the Confirm Budget window, click OK to change the budget.
  7. Click the lower X at the upper right corner of the new screen to close the window.

In this lesson, you learned how to enter a simulation budget.
