In this lesson, you will learn how bridges, projects, and work candidates are sorted, filtered and synchronized. |

Sort, filter and synchronize work candidates.
- In the Project Planning module, click the Projects radio button.
- Click the Layout button and select Default Project Layout.
- From the Projects list, click Select.
- Click the Clear Selection button, and then click OK. The Project List will be retrieved showing all projects.
- In the module tools, click the Sync Lists button. The module tools will always appear on the left side. The system switches to the Structure List and retrieves the bridges which have work items in the corresponding projects.
- Right-click in the Structure List and select Sort. A sort design window opens.
- In the Feature Intersected row, click the Sort Order column cell.
- Click Sort. The Structure List is sorted in ascending order by Feature Intersected.
- While still in the Project Planning module, verify that the Bridges radio button is now selected.
- Click the bridge list Select button.
- Click the Clear Selection button to reset.
- Click OK. A Structure List will be retrieved for the selection criteria-in this case, all bridges.
- Scroll through the list and click on the bridges: 1745 059, 1813 060 and 3365N002. The bridges and their projects will be added to the bridge tree.
- Click the Just Selected button.
- Click the Work Candidates tab.
- Click the From List button. The candidates will be narrowed to show only those for the bridges listed in the Structure List.
- In the desktop box, click the Candidates radio button.
- Click the Cost ($) column heading until the list is sorted in descending order by cost.
- Click the Work Candidates select button. The Select Work Candidates window opens.
- Click Count. A message will appear indicating the number of candidates.
- In the Elements list, uncheck the All box.
- Scroll down and select Painted Wide Flange, and then click OK. All Painted Wide Flange work candidates will appear.
- In the Work Candidates tab, click Sync List. The bridge list will retrieve bridges that have painted wide flange work candidates.
