In Pontis, a group of projects make up a program and the program has funding sources.

In this lesson, you will create a funding source and modify program information.

Create a new funding source.

1. In the Project Planning module, click the Funding button. The Funding Source Setup screen will appear.
2. Click the Add button. The Adding Funding Source screen will appear.
3. For the Funding Source, enter: Spike Fund. For Primary Type, select 0 Local.
4. Click OK. Spike Fund is added to the Funding Source List.
5. Click Close.

Modify program information.

1. Click the Programs button. The Program Setup window will open.
2. Select the TIP 02-05 Program ID.
3. Click the Open button. The Modifying Program TIP 02-05 window will open.
4. Change the Program ID to TIP 02-06.
5. Click the End Year up arrow to increase the end year from 2005 to 2006.
6. Change the name from TIP 2002-2005 to TIP 2002-2006.
7. For Year 2006, enter a budget of 5,000,000.
8. Click the Fund Source column in the 2002 year row. To update the Fund Source, select Spike Fund. Repeat for each year.
9. Click OK.
10. In the Program Setup window, select TIP 02-06 Program ID, and then click Set as Default Program.
11. Click Close to close the Program Setup screen.
