If a bridge has Inspector and/or Pontis-generated candidates, you can create a project in the bridge analysis work area. This feature allows the predicted impact of the work items to be checked before committing the project to the database.
In this lesson, you will learn how to create projects from Inspector or Pontis-generated work items.

Create a project from the bridge analysis button.
- In the Project Planning module, select the Bridges radio button.
- In the Bridge list, click Select.
- Click Clear Selection.
- In the Bridge ID field, uncheck the All box.
- Enter Bridge ID 1002 [space] 232, and then click OK.
- In the Bridge List, select Bridge 1002 232, and then click Analysis.
- In the Bridge Analysis window, from the Scenario drop-down list, select Default scenario.
- Click Get Work Items.
- Click Select All.
- Click Create Projects to view a list of potential work items.
- In the Create Projects window, click the Work Candidates tab.
- Click the Replace action item to unselect it.
- Click the Selected Work Candidates radio button to refresh the list.
- From the Program drop-down list, select Proposed, from Project Status, select 0 Proposed, from Scenario Treatment, select 0 Schedule and from Funding Source, select State.
- Click the Specified Year radio button, then enter 2004.
- Click the One Project for Each Structure radio button.
- Click the Include Bridge ID in Project ID checkbox.
- Click Apply Specifications to accept the values entered.
- Click Create Projects.
- In the confirmation window, click OK.
- Click Close to close the Create Projects screen.
- Click Close to close the Bridge Analysis screen.
