Pontis allows users to rank projects according to agency requirements.
In this lesson, you will learn to modify and rank projects.

| Modify a Project |

Modify a project.
- In the Project Planning module, click the Projects radio button.
- Click the Three panels radio button.
- In the projects list, locate and select the Training Sample project.
- Click Open Project to open the Training Sample project.
- In the Project Window, enter the following information:
- For Name, enter Sample.
- For Program, select Proposed Preservation Projects.
- For Program Year, enter 2005.
- For Action Type, select 32 Overlay Deck.
- For Status, select 0 Proposed.
- For Scenario Treatment, select 0 Schedule.
- For Agency Ranking, enter 9999.
- For Program Rank, enter 9999.
- For Responsible District, select Turnpike District.
- For Review Status, select 0 Recommended.
- For Reviewed By, select Unknown.
- Click the Compute Index & Rating button. Note that additional data can be viewed in the Work Items, Contract, and Funding tabs.
- Click Close to return to the Project Planning window.

Now, rank a project.
- In the Project Planning module, click the Projects radio button.
- In the Projects List, click Select.
- In the Select Projects window, click Clear Selection to reset, and then click OK.
- Click the Projects radio button.
- Click Rank Projects.
- From the Program List, select TIP 02-06.
- Enter 2002 for the filter year, and then check Filter on Year.
- Click the Sufficiency Rating column heading until the list is sorted in ascending order.
- Click Rank in Sorted Order to renumber the program ranks based on the sorted order.
- Click Re-Rank to update projects based on the new ranking order.
- Click OK to close the screen.
