Within Pontis, flexible re-labeling is enabled by setting the GUILOCALIZATION configuration option to a value of "Y".

In this lesson, you will learn how to customize the Graphical User Interface in Pontis.

To customize the Graphical User Interface:

1. In the Configuration module, click the 6 Options tab.
2. In the Option Name list, click the GUILOCALIZATION row.
3. For the Option value, enter Y, and then click Save.
4. Restart Pontis so that the changed settings will take effect.
5. Navigate to the Inspection module and from the Tools menu, select the Customize UI option.
6. On the Inspection Desktop, right-click the New button.
7. Click on the Setting column of the text row and enter &New Inspection.
8. Click OK. The Edit Object Localization Attribute Values window is closed, and the label of the "New" button is changed to "New Inspection".
9. Double-click on bridge 1002 232. The inspection tab card window is opened.
10. Click the 5 Inventory tab and then right-click on the County (3): label. The Edit Object Localization Attribute Values window is displayed.
11. Click the Setting column of the text row and enter Parish (3):.
12. Click OK. The Edit Object Localization Attribute Values window is closed. The "County (3)" label has been changed to "Parish (3)".
13. Right-click on the Parish (3): label.
14. Click Revert. The text is reverted to the default value.
15. Click OK. The Edit Object Localization Attribute Values window is closed. The label has been changed to the default value.
