Changing Bridge Level Access

Within Pontis, setting the BRIDGELEVELACCESS configuration option to a value of "Y" will enable changing bridge access privileges.

In this lesson, you will learn how to modify certain bridge level access privileges.

Changing Bridge Level Access

To change Bridge Level Access:

  1. In the Configuration module, click the 6 Options tab.
  2. From the Option Name list click the BRIDGELEVELACCESS row.
  3. For the Option value of BRIDGELEVELACCESS, enter Y. This will enable the bridge level access.
  4. Click Save. Close the Configuration module and re-open so that Pontis recognizes the changed setting.
  5. Select the user whose bridge level access privileges are to be limited and click Set Bridge Access...
  6. Click Clear Selection.
  7. Under the selection criteria Districts, select Turnpike District.
  8. Click OK. The Set Bridge Access Privileges For User window will be closed. This user will be able to see only the Turnpike District bridges.
  9. Click Save. Exit out of the Configuration module and restart Pontis.
  10. Enter the user name and password of the restricted user. Click OK. The Inspection desktop will open showing only Turnpike District bridges for this user.
