Lady Bird Johnson's I-95 Landscape-Landmark Tour Galleries

Farr, a noted expert on highway beauty, would be the U.S. Bureau of Public Roads' first Highway Beautification Coordinator.  In foreground, Mrs. Johnson greets tour participant Trudye Fowler, whose husband Henry H. Fowler had taken office as Secretary of the Treasury on April 1, 1965.

Lady Bird Johnson speaks with tour participant Trudye Fowler, whose husband Henry H. Fowler had taken office as Secretary of the Treasury on April 1, 1965.  Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Fowler had become friendly during Secretary Fowler's stint as Under Secretary of the Treasury (161-1964).
