| Innovations | The westbound bridge of the Innerbelt bridge was procured as a design-build project funded by ODOT. ODOT chose to pursue the eastbound bridge as a design-build-finance, a first in Ohio, in part because of a three-year gap in funding between the completion of the westbound bridge and the start of construction on the eastbound bridge. Using a DBF structure will allow them to complete the project two years earlier than anticipated. |
