FEDERAL-AID POLICY GUIDE - CHANGE

December 7, 1994
Transmittal 12

  1. PURPOSE

    1. To transmit new and revised pages to the Federal-Aid Policy Guide (FAPG).

    2. To transmit copies of the Electronic Policy Reference System (EPRS) Brochure. Please distribute copies per distribution instructions for FAPG transmittals. The additional EPRS Brochures requested by field offices will be distributed under separate cover.

  2. COMMENTS. The FAPG is being updated to include the following items.

    1. Revised Federal-aid regulations previously published in the Federal Register: (1) 23 CFR Part 420, Planning and Research Program Administration; (2) 23 CFR Part 650, Bridges, Structures, and Hydraulics; (3) 23 CFR Part 655, Traffic Operations; (4) 23 CFR Part 657, Certification of Size and Weight Enforcement; and (5) 23 CFR Part 660, Special Programs (Direct Federal).

    2. Supplemental sections (1) NS 23 CFR 140B, Construction Engineering Costs, and (2) NS 23 CFR 655D, Traffic Surveillance and Control, have been revised.

    3. Revised pages for the Table of Contents are also included with this change.

  3. CANCELED FEDERAL-AID REGULATIONS. Federal-aid regulations (1) 23 CFR Part 511 and (2) 23 CFR Part 659 have been canceled.

  4. REGULATORY MATERIAL. The regulatory material contained in this directive has been published in the Federal Register and will be codified in Title 23, Code of Federal Regulations.

  5. ACTION. Each recipient office is responsible for filing the attached FAPG pages into the binders provided.
