FEDERAL-AID POLICY GUIDE - CHANGE

  1. PURPOSE. To transmit new and revised pages to the Federal-Aid Policy Guide (FAPG).

  2. COMMENTS. The FAPG is being updated to include the following items.

    1. Federal-aid regulations previously published in the Federal Register: (1) 23 CFR Part 172, Administration of Engineering and Design Related Service Contracts; (2) 23 CFR Part 655, Traffic Operations; (3) 23 CFR Part 658, Truck Size and Weight, Route Designations--Length, Width and Weight Limitations; (4) 23 CFR Part 1205, Highway Safety Programs; Determinations of Effectiveness; and (5) 23 CFR Part 1260, Certification of Speed Limit Enforcement.

    2. Revised supplemental sections for: (1) NS 23 CFR 140I, Reimbursement for Railroad Work, (2) NS 23 CFR 230A, Equal Employment Opportunity on Federal and Federal-Aid Construction Contracts (Including Supportive Services), and (3) NS 23 CFR 625, Design Standards for Highways.

    3. New supplemental section for: NS 23 CFR 750B, National Standards for Directional and Official Signs.

    4. Revised pages for the Table of Contents.

  3. REGULATORY MATERIAL. The regulatory material contained in this directive has been published in the Federal Register and will be codified in Title 23, Code of Federal Regulations.

  4. ACTION. Each recipient office is responsible for filing the attached FAPG pages into the binders provided.
