Federal Highway Administration
NOTICE
DECISION NOT TO DEBAR
N 2000.452
October 27, 1993
- PURPOSE. On July 18, 1993, the Federal Highway Administration gave
notice (N 2000.447) that it proposed to debar the below named company. This
notice serves to advise that the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has determined
that a debarment against the below named firm is not in the public interest
and is not necessary for the Federal Government's protection.
- NO ACTION TAKEN
- The FHWA declines to take any action against the following firm:
Jablonski & Mead Associates
1200 MacArthur Boulevard
3rd Floor
Mahwah, New Jersey 07430
- A former employee of the firm, Mr. Jose Crespo, pleaded guilty to conspiracy
and filing false reports in connection with his illegal conduct on the Suffern
Interchange project. Mr. Crespo received a bribe from Hudson Foundations to
falsely certify that piles on the project were driven to the depth required
by the design specifications.
- The information before the FHWA strongly supports that Jablonski &
Mead Associates and its principals were not culpable parties in the illegal
conduct and, basically, were merely the unfortunate employers of Mr. Crespo.
