Subject: DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ORGANIZATION MANUAL
FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION - CHANGE

  1. PURPOSE. To issue revised pages to the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) section of the Department of Transportation Organization Manual.

  2. EXPLANATION OF CHANGES. The FHWA's organization chart and the Administration Service Business Unit's mission and functions statement are revised to reflect the establishment of the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) Joint Program Office (JPO). The TIFIA JPO, a multi-modal organizational element located within the FHWA, administers the Federal credit program authorized by the Act in cooperation with the Office of the Secretary, the Federal Transit Administration, and the Federal Railroad Administration. The TIFIA JPO has a departmentwide role which is overseen by the Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs and the TIFIA Credit Council (formerly known as the TIFIA Steering Committee).
