Par.

  1. What is the purpose of this change?
  2. Which parts of FHWA Order M 1100.1A are being updated?
  3. Where can I obtain additional information concerning these changes?

  1. What is the purpose of this change? The purpose of this change is to transfer all responsibility for value pricing initiatives and activities from the FHWA Office of Policy and Governmental Affairs to the FHWA Office of Operations. Transfer of this function to the FHWA Office of Operations, which is the office responsible for congestion mitigation, is appropriate given the fact that value pricing is now a recognized, mainstream congestion mitigation strategy.

All references to value pricing have been removed from the Office of Policy and Governmental Affairs’ mission and function statements, and appropriate references added to the Office of Operations’ mission and function statements.

  2. Which parts of FHWA Order M 1100.1A are being updated? Updated parts of the Manual include Chapter 5 (Office of Operations) and Chapter 8 (Office of Policy and Governmental Affairs).

  3. Where can I obtain additional information concerning these changes? If you have questions about these changes, you may contact the Office of Information and Management Services, Management Programs and Analysis Division.
