FHWA PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT MANUAL - TRANSMITTAL 12

1. What is the purpose of this transmittal? This transmittal revises Part 1, Chapter 2, Section 3 (Part-Time Employment) of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Personnel Management Manual (PMM) of the FHWA Personnel Management Manual.

2. What are the changes? This section has been revised to update information regarding the Part-Time Employment Program in accordance with Office of Personnel Management regulations. The Internet links have been added to the references paragraph. Additions have been made to the table of contents, and to the definitions and references paragraphs. New paragraphs have also been added regarding "Objectives and Advantages," "Impact on Personnel Ceilings," and "Other Personnel Policies Affected by the Part-Time Employment Program." Minor changes have been made throughout the section. This section number has been changed to section 2 due to the elimination of one section from this chapter.
