What is the purpose of this transmittal? This transmittal revises the previous Part 1, Chapter 2, Section 7 (Volunteer Service) of the FHWA Personnel Management Manual (PMM).

What are the changes? This section has been changed to Section 6 due to elimination of one section from this chapter. This section the information regarding the Volunteer Service in accordance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations. The Internet links were added to the reference section. There were changes made to some of the management and office titles. Changes also include definitions and questions associated with the Volunteer Service.
