Deaton Tract and Old Fort Bayou Wetland Mitigation Bank

Efforts to insure the continued commitment to protection of our country's environmental resources displaced by construction of transportation projects includes expansion of the existing Wetland Mitigation banks to include the Deaton Tract and Old Fort Bayou Preserves. These areas contain a myriad of virtually untouched wildlife habitats. Preservation of these sites is paramount to protecting the entire Pascagoula River ecological system.
