Community Planner (A) - Jill Stark
- All SAFETA-LU and previous legislation metropolitan planning activities in: Asheville, Wilmington, Hickory, Jacksonville, Goldsboro, DCHC (Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro)
- All SAFETA-LU and previous legislation Planning and Management Systems Regulations, including Congestion Management where applicable; and air quality conformity reviews for LRTP and MTIP as appropriate, and the performance objectives as identified in the NC Business Plan.

- Heavy Vehicle Fuel Tax
- Indian Programs Coordinator
- Public Lands Highway Discretionary (PLHD) Program
- Rural Planning and Consultative Process

Community Planner (B) - Loretta Barren
- All SAFETA-LU and previous legislation metropolitan planning activities in: Metrolina MPOs (MUMPO, Cabarrus-Rowan, Gastonia), Fayetteville, and Greenville
- All SAFETA-LU and previous legislation Planning and Management Systems Regulations, including Congestion Management where applicable; and air quality conformity reviews for LRTP and MTIP as appropriate, and the performance objectives as identified in the NC Business Plan.

- All SAFETA-LU and previous legislation metropolitan planning activities in: Triad MPOs (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington-Graham) and Rocky Mount
- All SAFETA-LU and previous legislation Planning and Management Systems Regulations, including Congestion Management where applicable; and air quality conformity reviews for LRTP and MTIP as appropriate, and the performance objectives as identified in the NC Business Plan.

Air Quality - Eddie Dancausse
- All SAFETA-LU and previous legislation activities and EPA air quality regulations and activities in the designated areas in North Carolina for non-attainment and/or maintenance and performance objectives identified in the NC Business Plan.
- All SAFETA-LU and previous legislation metropolitan planning activities in the Capital Area MPO (CAMPO).
- Review of air quality conformity reports for the LRTP and MTIPs as appropriate
- Review of air quality documents and/or reports involving NEPA requirements
- CMAQ Program (planning and programming)
- Air Quality Consultative Procedures
- Air quality models
Environmental Coordinator - Donnie Brew
- All SAFETA-LU and NEPA requirements from a general perspective and performance objectives identified in the NC Business Plan.
- Division liaison to the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR) Ecosystem Enhancement Program (EEP).
- Works directly with the EEP Analysis and Procedures Section to ensure policies, processes and procedures align to support the delivery of the program.
- Works directly with the EEP Strategic Planning Section to ensure planning and implementation strategies are aligned to maximize resources and results.
- Environmental streamlining (Merger '01 FHWA Division initiative)
