Noise Analysis and Abatement
The following flowchart steps are required for the noise analysis and abatement process.
- Noise Study Report
- Corridor Studies, Preliminary Plans, Traffic Parameters, Request & Receive Build Permits

- Noise Contour Lines Identify Noise Impacts Noise Analysis Checklist, Construction Noise
- Site Candidates for Noise Abatement
- Environment Document *
- Public Hearing
- Views of Impacted Residents (or)
- Final Roadway Design Plans
- Final Decision for Noise Abatement Candidate Sites Policy Checklist: If it is not reasonable or Feasible then
- No Abatement Measures Taken, less than 75% of Hearing Residents Vote
- Else Policy Checklist is Feasible and Preliminarily Reasonable
- Preliminary Plans for Noise Abatement Barriers
- 75% or more of the Hearing Residents Vote
- Policy Checklist is Feasible and Reasonable wich leads to Final Plans
