1 (At 3:35 p.m. on April 23, 2001, with
2 Hearing Officer Behrns, Witness George Lockyer and
3 the court reporter being present, the following
4 testimony was given:)
5 HEARING OFFICER BEHRNS: If you'd like
6 to state your name and spell your last name for our
7 stenographer. And you can just go ahead -- and
8 also tell us whether you're representing yourself
9 or a particular organization.
10 GEORGE LOCKYER: Okay. It's George N.W.
11 Lockyer, L-o-c-k-y-e-r. And we live at 13800
12 Yankee Hill Road and we represent ourselves, I
13 guess. And was there any other information you
14 needed?
15 THE COURT: No.
16 GEORGE LOCKYER: Okay. The -- we just
17 wanted to come in and voice our opposition to the
18 far East Beltway that will go down our fence line
19 of our property and we own 20 acres on Yankee Hill
20 Road. It is one of the sites that's eligible for
21 the historical. And the thing that we were hoping
22 to do today that -- with it being a public hearing
23 is that I guess we felt that that's what we're
24 going to have, is we would have a hearing in front
25 of those people who would be making the decision

1 with this. So we just want to voice our
2 disappointment with that.
3 But we -- I mean, we respectfully are
4 here to voice our opposition and we've submitted
5 things already and will continue to do so. And I
6 understand that there is a hearing in June with the
7 City Council and we'll be there to give a
8 presentation at least to the impact that this will
9 have on our property.
10 THE COURT: Okay. Great. Thank you for
11 coming.
