The Federal Highway Administration is responsible for administering highway bridge programs. These bridge programs replace, rehabilitate, and widen deficient bridge structures. The programs are also used to identify and correct potentially hazardous structures. These programs include the Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program, National Bridge Inspection Standards, Scour Evaluation Program, Bridge Management Systems, and Technology Transfer efforts.
