Profiler Pooled Fund Study Improving the Quality of Profiler Measurement, TPF-5(063)Many reports and studies have indicated that a need exists to bring integrity to data collection for ride quality by establishing calibration processes and verification procedures. The American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) has developed provisional standards to assist a State Highway Agency (SHA) with the implementation of quality assurance programs relating to ride quality data collection. A Pooled Fund Study, TPF-5(063) "Improving the Quality of Profiler Measurement" has been initiated by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to assist with the implementation of the AASHTO Provisional Standards and establish a level of integrity to the measurements.
