The geographic area names will be provided as separate lookup files.

The files can be used to merge names, via GEOID, onto the data files.

Since most area names have a comma (,) in the name, the files will be pipe (|) delimited.

The residence name lookup file will have 2 fields: GEOID, GEONAME

GEOID- The ID code for residence geography.

GEONAME- The name of residence geography.

The place of work name lookup file will have 2 fields: GEOID, GEONAME

GEOID- The ID code for place of work geography.

GEONAME- The name of place of work geography.

The commuting flow names lookup file will have five fields: GEOID, Residence GEOID, Place of Work GEOID, Residence NAME, Place of Work NAME.

GEOID - Use this to merge onto the data files. It's the ID code of the geography. For flow geographies, this is a concatenation of residence GEOID and place of work GEOID. See the GEO-ids tab.

Residence GEOID- The ID code for residence geography.

Place of Work GEOID- The ID code for place of work geography.

Residence NAME- The name of residence geography.

Place of Work NAME- The name of place of work geography.
