1980s	Trade Increases; congestion increases in downtown Laredo near Juarez-Lincoln Bridge
Early 1991	Substantive coordination begins between Laredo, Texas, Mexico, Juarez and others
Late 1991	City of Laredo request extension of FM 3464 to near site of a new bridge; Texas DOT submits environmental assessment for project related to this to FHWA
Early 1993	Public meeting on extension
Later 1993	FONSI issued for extension
1993- 1994	New bridge placed on multiyear programs
1995	Funding agreement for new Bridge signed
1996	Biological Survey Complete and sent to resource agencies
1997	Historical Survey Complete and sent to State Historical Preservation Office
Early 1998	Public hearing held for new bridge
Late 1998	FONSI issued by FHWA for Bridge IV to Interstate 35
2000	New World Trade Bridge Opened to Traffic
