Texas State Map Showing Counties with a ten-year average unemployment greater than 12%: Newton, Presidio, Matagorda, Zavala, Maverick, Dimmit, Zapata, Starr, Hidalog, and Willacy. Counties with a ten average unemployment between 10-12%: Marion, El Paso, Reeves, Jasper, Val Verde, Orange, Uvalde, Webb, Duval, Brooks, and Cameron.
